You are not just a truck driver. You are the link between customers and your colleagues. You feel at home on the road. You have a strong sense of responsibility. And how great is it to drive a large truck combination all by yourself? Now that is a challenge!

You often work alone, but you also have contact with customers and you coach new drivers. You focus on safety and on improving your work. As a mentor driver, you help new drivers with their work. You show them how everything works and give instructions on company rules and safe driving. You also give feedback and keep track of their progress. You also help arrange matters relating to the fleet, such as maintenance or administration. That way, you make sure everything runs smoothly.

What will you be doing?

At G. van Doesburg Internationaal Transport B.V. you get the unique opportunity to learn the logistics trade: four days a week of paid work in our dynamic organisation and one day of study. The perfect start to your career at G. van Doesburg Internationaal Transport B.V.!

You carry out all the tasks of a truck driver, and more. You load the truck, check the cargo and hit the road. On the way, you choose the best route and plan your own driving and rest times. Once you feel at home on the road, you start working as a mentor driver. You guide new drivers and teach them how everything works and how to work safely. You work independently and are given a lot of responsibility. At school, you learn all about safe driving, teamwork and guiding drivers. You also take lessons in three languages. That is how you combine working and learning.

• You are eager to learn, positive and flexible;
• You live within 40 km of Zaltbommel and are able to travel to our location.
